Meditation and Prayer Go Together Hand in Hand

Over the past month I have had much personal growth.  Some of that growth has come directly from blogging and learning to blog.  When I began blogging 6 weeks ago I wasn’t sure if blogging was really for me.  I thought that people blogging were flapping their lips about gossip, or they were ranting lunatics looking for other ranting lunatics.

I have stumbled upon so many blogs that are designed to help others achieve happiness and purpose in their lives which is what I am looking for and also what I want to achieve with my blog.  I am astonished at the value of blogs and I hope I can add to the conversation positively.

Since I have begun blogging I have written my Divine Order.  I have quickly and easily found books on the spiritual growth I am seeking.  I have taken steps to find my life Purpose.  I have asked questions of the Universe and been given answers through other blogs and life in general.   I finally feel like I am getting my life in line and balance after years of unbalance.

One tool I have started using regularly is meditation.  I am a very spiritual person.  I have used prayer daily, even hourly for most of my life and I don’t believe there is anything you can’t pray about or for.  I have found that with meditation I am opening a path for direct response for my prayers.

When I meditate for 10 or 15 minutes each day I am open to messages and responses for my prayers.  I am directed to the answers with little effort.  Sometimes the answer almost has a big light up sign saying, “This is your answer!” And I feel overcome with excitement and calmness at the same time.

I started meditating three years ago and it manifested great things in my life along with a calmness during a very difficult time.  Once I felt I had gotten through the difficult time and I had achieved the goals I was working towards I stopped meditating.  I didn’t take the time, I wasn’t focused.  I continued to pray daily but looking back I can see that my prayers were very unfocused and general too.

Meditation and prayer go together hand in hand.  With meditation my prayers are focused and useful.  I receive answers through the meditation, through thoughts, through books and blogs.  I am open to anything and I know it is the prayer and meditation together that is attracting the answers that I am receiving.

Meditation is also relaxing.  It centers me and helps me connect with my soul.  By connecting with my soul I am being guided to live my true purpose not my ego-centered life.  To learn more about connecting with your soul and living your life through purpose I recommend reading a great blog post by KL Masina about Depression and Its Purpose in Your Life. I think you will find it enlightening as I did.

There are many books and blogs about meditation and I am not an expert just yet so if you are looking for some guidelines I recommend you Google it or visit your local library.

I know I will be meditating along with my prayers for the rest of my life.  It is like a drug in the best way and everyone can do it, just believe and pray for success!

Best Wishes!

Stumble it!

I think you have come to the same conclusion as I, in that meditation and prayer give each other far greater leverage in our personal and spiritual goals. I actually use one to “clean the slate” for the other. Thanks for this interesting post.
