I discovered the above poem in the movie Akeelah and the Bee. The movie is about a bright, young, black girl that goes to the National Spelling Bee and wins. It is a great story.
This poem is given to her by her coach for inspiration. I don’t know who wrote but I want to share it with you. I think it is a great poem. I recommend the movie if you like heartfelt, descent, family oriented movies.
